  • Syncrowave 200 no HF

hey y'all, having a new issue with my Syncrowave 200, it's a newer digital model. No HF start, it does make a spark if you scratch start it.. I pulled the cover off, blew it out, and cleaned and reset the points. They have a blue/white coloration when you hit the pedal.. Has new consumables and new torch hose, handle and does have gas flowing.. I took the capacitor off to visually inspect it and didn't notice anything obvious.. Noticed something odd, when I had it unbolted and hit the pedal switch it did have some HF come out of the tip of the tungsten but couldn't recreate that once I bolted the capacitor back on. The serial number is LJ030519L

Not sure wether it's a pedal issue or capacitor? Maybe something else.. In my searches of the forums I kept seeing people mention diodes but I haven't seen any inside my unit?

    Thanks

I haven't got it to work past it making the spark, scratch start.

                Update for tonight.

My buddy brought over a known good pedal, the welder worked and was able to establish an arc. BUT , you had to get very close for it to start the arc.

So I'm guessing it had multiple issues, the pedal being one... Plan to remove the capacitor and have it tested.
