Millermatic 251 - wirefeed display error

This is my first post here, but pleased to see all this information is available.

A few days ago the wire speed disply on my Millermatic 251 went berzerk. The observed feed rate seems normal, but the display read ridiculously high numbers in the 500-600 range. When I adjusted the dial down I got more gibberish as seen in the attached photos. Accompanying this malfunction was an erratic and rapic burn back, making a sputtering and intermittent weld. I blew out the welder with compressed air and blew out the liner. Ihad just changed over from .045 dual shield to .035 solid wire.

Any ideas?

Common fault, merely replace the front display board.
