Those disconnects are pricey. I was looking to find a end so I can use normal cheap air line disconnects. I have 3 bottles & regulators that I'm swapping around all the time and it's a pain.

    Thanks for your help.
OK...... you want a 5/8-18 RH x 1/4 Male NPT adaptor

so you can use standard 1/4 NPT air line quick disconnects & fittings

Grab a few of them. I have a drawer full of various gas and air fittings and you'll be surprised how many times having that junk on hand saves your fourth point of contact during a job or project on a Sunday afternoon.

one caution....... air couplers leak.... lost gas adds up......$$$$.....

we don't pay much attention of air line coupler seepage,,,,, but if it is Argon....C25....CO2.....???

I actually have a bunch of couplers that are made for use in explosive environments. They shouldn't leak and they are a lot smaller and shorter then most air couplers and I already own them so I wanted to use them. I figured it was easier just say air line couplers.

Once again thank a ton for your help. You were spot on with the answer

PLS keep us posted as to how it works for you......

              plus coupler part numbers...

am sure many others would have interest....

I have done it in the past for suitcase feeders with mixed results
(Goodyear factory terminated RED hose and Milton Couplers)
              .

                Well, since we're getting technical...

NPT is National Pipe Tapered. There actually is an NPS (National Pipe Straight) but I've never seen it.

When I was working overseas, we used BSPP as opposed to BSPT: British Standard Pipe Parallel, as opposed to British Standard Pipe Tapered.

But, yes, the question has been answered and the fitting is not a tapered pipe fitting.

                  Thanks MAC......

I would much rather we shared the Correct answer.................

had gotten that wrong for many years.... and seen the wrong answer in print untold times....

Haha well that makes a whole lot more of sense.

I thought it was just National Pipe Thread....

Having a background in Heavy Equipment I can tell you there are more different types of pipe threads out there then you can believe. You couldn't even begin to imagine how many different types there are on construction equipment alone. Here's a good read on the ones you'll see the most.
