I have heard of others having that wobble issue. Seems like there was a thread about repairing it on this forum a while back.

I've had terrific luck with their support folks..........incredible how they're treating you..............

Miller repair center says nothing wrong with the machine, that it's normal. Just to give it more tension the tensioner. Go figure.

OscarJr --- sounds like you might ask Miller to fix that driveshaft.....................mine (operating on its own without the spool or spool adapters) seems fine. The problem in my case, seems to be with the spool/spool adapters..............other than that little visual nuisance, the feed functions flawlessly.

my spool is not what wobbles. The motor driveshaft, which ultimately drives the drive roller, is what wobbles, thus making the wire drive roller wobble.

I run 10 lb spools and while there is some minor asymmetric "wobble" at the spool the FEED is perfect and that's what ultimately matters..........you can do some mods to the spool adapters if that "wobble" bothers you..........
I've owned tons of MIGs and this one is, in a word, EXCEPTIONAL

If you're talking about the new 211, yup. I don't like how the drive roll wobbles though. I even saw one in a youtube video that also wobbles. Can sometimes cause an erratic wire feed speed. Other than that, yup I love mine. I do need a new gun though. I welded on Auto-Set some 1/2" plate beveled on both sides, on the 3/8" material thickness setting. Gave it about 8 passes at 8" long each. The M100 gun was smoking like when I do a 24hr smoked brisket

Man -- my Miller 211 is one jewel
Used it again today to weld up an exhaust system on a truck and the thing is the EASIEST, SIMPLEST, MOST PRECISE thing in its price range going.
Hats off to Miller engineers!!!!
Probably the best thousand bucks I spent on any shop equipment --- and I'm well over $150K on "toys for boys"Last edited by Auto_Tech; 11-30-2016, 08:41 PM.Tags: None
