You have your own welder that you've used on a job.

Don't know how to bid a job if your not a sub contractor unless it's T&M.

Well if I sub the job , which might be better, thou I don't carry sub contractor license , what would t&m be for a 2 month job. I'll know more Monday , if he wants a contractor  number I'll be out anyway,

If he wants you to bid he would have to give you a list of all the work they want done ,with blue prints .Anything not on the list would be an extra .A bit of advice ,any extras get in writing exactly what they want done and how they should be billed ,preset price T&M.

T & M is time and material used.Setting the rate per hr depends on the going rate in the area .Don't fall for the "we have a lot of work comming so can you cut your rate "ploy.

Call welding shops in area and ask what their rate is so you are in ball park . Gas ,welding rod ,grinding wheels ,tips, ect, ect.are considered materials.Doing the actual work is what the rate is for .How are you going to weld or torch on the seventh floor
