Can i hook up a hf box to my bobcat 225 with out a 14 pin connector?

The trailblazer won't do AC, so aluminum tig would be out, HF box or not. <br />

At least the new trailblazers don't have AC. Don't know about previous models.

the discontinued TB-301 & TB-302 have AC ....but do not make a very good AC TIG machine... even when equipped with the HF-251 Freq box

IMHO.... You are better served by plugging in a dedicated TIG machine (like a Dynasty 200) to the AUX outlet.............

Yeah that helps. It's kind of what I've read on just about every website. I really was looking for a trailblazer but I couldn't pass up this one for $600. Thanks for the info.

No remote amperage control on your machine there. Be the same as hooking it up to any other stick welder. You'll have to make a switch to turn the HF on and off. That's the setup I used for my first aluminum tig machine. Did it work? Yup...sort of. No control...but...it does work, just not well. As has been recommended to me here on this same issue....you'd be money ahead to just get a machine you can plug into aux power to tig aluminum. <br />

But there are others with leaps and bounds more experience than me that could pose a better alternative. <br />

I bought a bobcat 225 and was wondering if there was a Hf box I can use with it without a 14 pin connector? The welder has an AC tig setting but I can't find a 14 pin plug anywhere on it.
