    Does any one else use the skill saw to cut metal grating.

    we were cutting a 19-W-4 x 1-1/2" x 1/8" grating, we cut approximately 92' of grating, would this be normal wear.

    I would say at 92 feet you did good. I have one and that would be more than average blade life.

      I've Got a slugger also, 92', that blade paid for it's self. Got thru those cuts quickly I bet.

        Yes it did a good job but finally gave up in the 80 plus foot.
        I wonder if the 60 tooth would have been a better option.

          Thinner materials usually do better with more teeth. Last job we used the slugger on we made about 20/25 cuts on 1/2' x 6" steel flat bar the blade did the just but lost maybe a third of it's 48 teeth. Time for a new blade I guess. HA HA
