  • millermatic 210 with spool gun

No wire response when I trigger mig gun. The magnetic switch and gas valve as well as power to the weld wire happens. Could this be q10 on ic 204807?

Need your serial no to look up the right manual. Are you using the mig gun or a spoolgun?

The spoolgun works perfect, its the mig gun that does not move any wire. When trigger operated both the large magnet switch operates and gas value. As well power is going to the wire( could weld if wire would move). In the house now, later tomorrow will get serial number.

So the spool gun is fine? The mig gun is the problem right? So is the wire free inside the liner? Sometimes it could be stuck in the tip or liner. You push the trigger on the mig gun and the gas valve opens but is the motor to the drive rolls turning? ..Bob

I have connected 12 volts directly to the drive motor and the motor will run fine. Have shorted q10 across d and s and the wire would run. Still thinking that power mosfet is the trouble.

https://www.millerwelds.com/files/ow...O1325A_MIL.pdf Here is the manual. There is a circuit breaker by the motor drive make sure its pushed in. Sometimes the trigger wire(s) in the gun come loose check that also...Bob

Have already bypassed circuit breaker and the trigger on the mig gun cord. Have the power mosfet out of the board now... trying to find a local supplier, may have to rely on the internet and have shipped to Canada. Thanks Bob.
