If you do not know the serial number, go to the ‘Manuals & Parts’ download, and download manuals until you find one that matches. Tedious, but it works.
If there is a problem with the specific spelling or name, and what you are looking for does not pop up automatically, you can also scroll down the list of names in the pop-up box under "Have an older model or don't know your serial number?", until you find a reasonable match.
The download manuals go back to the 1970's, so it will be there.

Yesterday on the thread "Canox Red-Star" just down from your thread, it helped him find some info on a 2e. Not everything you need, but at least a start.

Star fire 2e help
Hello I am new to this site and I am sure my questions have been answered before and I am sorry but I have not been able to locate much info regarding the Star Fire 2e.
First I was wondering the history of this machine and where it fits in the line up of all the 2e models.
Second what would be a expected price for a 1988 model. The pictures I have seen of the machine are very promising as the current owner has repainted it and he has said he did a full refurbish of the welder/generator.
Third what if any types of problems/issues should I be looking for on this model.
