I'm new too this group. I've recently purchased a older miller bluestar. Looking for any advice on the welder good or bad.

I have one I use frequently.
They weld nice. Mine has the Tecumpseh engine. The only complaint I have is its loud. The little spark arrester muffler doesn't do much to reduce noise.Lincoln Idealarc 250

No. My aux power works fine.
There are 3 110v plugs on it. The heavy square single plug on the right only provides proper power with the engine in high rpm (3000 rpm) aka weld mode.
The double receptacle plugs to the left can be used with the welder set to "power" mode which is low rpm (1800) and the fine current dial set to 100.Lincoln Idealarc 250
