  • Miller Bluestar 2E

I'm new too this group. I've recently purchased a older miller bluestar. Looking for any advice on the welder good or bad.

I have one I use frequently.
They weld nice. Mine has the Tecumpseh engine. The only complaint I have is its loud. The little spark arrester muffler doesn't do much to reduce noise.

Have you had any trouble with yours not putting out the amperage you need too weld or run your 110 plugs. I'm getting power just not enough.

No. My aux power works fine.
There are 3 110v plugs on it. The heavy square single plug on the right only provides proper power with the engine in high rpm (3000 rpm) aka weld mode.
The double receptacle plugs to the left can be used with the welder set to "power" mode which is low rpm (1800) and the fine current dial set to 100.

I finally found my problem with some more research. It had a bad diode in it. I bought a replacement and it works just fine now.
