If you are talking about frame ground to earth. It is not required unless you using the welder for standby power AND connected to a building electrical system. Welding or work "ground" carries weld current . Only time this should be earth grounded is if you are TIG welding with HF. Remember to follow job site rules. Sometimes they are different than excepted general rules.

Thank you. Now, maybe you know about another question I just asked. What wire to get for a ground? Then, do I hook it to the cart or onto the ground. THEN, how would I do either? I am guessing a lug and a bolt for the cart. But, what about the ground?

Ok, I FINALLY got my Bobcat 250 on Friday. I've yet to use the thing. I have my cables I made. 2/0 wire. 500 amp ground camp and stinger.
