Millermatic 211 Buying Advice - Part Number 907614

So we are considering a newer machine and are looking at the Millarmatice 211 - my understanding is that it is the new model, part #907614

This machine will be tasked for the following job.....

Body / Sheet Metal Work

Frame Repairs - attaching new shock mounts and brackets to frames and axles as needed as well as rust repair on frames.

Not looking to do what I call " frame heavy repairs " but may need to weld on reinforcement plate as needed in some places.

Not for a professional shop but for a home garage where the machine may be called to use on average one to three days a week, a few hours in each day.

Plans are to run it on 240 Volt exclusively.

Am I looking at an ample machine for the tasks, or not?

Thanks .... are there any concerns I should have about using an inverter machine over what I am used to using, as in machines like the MM210?

I love the lightweight aspect.

I remember when inverters were first hitting the streets and people were nervous about them.

I figured they have been out long enough, to be OK.

Can't way ti pick mine up tomorrow and start buying wire!

I have an old rear end and some 1/4 metal to stick to it practicing before I get up under a project I am working on.

If you're worried about penetration, use some flux core or dual shield. <br />

You just need to watch the duty cycle on that machine if doing bigger parts esp with dual shield. I run .035 dual shield on my MM185 but not everyday. But it does work nice...Bob
