While I was answering another post about what gas to use on SS MIG. I thought I would throw this out. Lots of shops now are switching to a SS gas flux core wire. One reason is they don't have to buy a big bottle of Tri Mix. I used it for years in 308 and 309 with either CO2 or 75/25. I like the 75/25 version better but most of our welders were changed over to CO2 thanks to the higher ups. Plus you can get the flux core online in many versions like 308,309, plus the L's and LSi versions and different diameters. But all our LWS stocked was big spools, but that has changed and they have ordered smaller ones...Bob

I think I'd like to try the flux core stainless wire. Does it come in a dual shield version?Bob Wright
