I am looking buy a multiprocess machine for my shop. I only have single phase. I have a bobcat 250 nt on my truck and a suitcase x treme I run off it, but I want something to plug in in my shop that I can hook a spool gun to and stick and tig with. I've done some shopping and have found a few machines. But havent found one that also does ac tig. Does anyone know of a multiprocess machine that can stick, mig, and tig, has a built in high freq and ac tig? Or am I asking to much and need to buy a few seperate machines? This is for my personal fab shop. I'm not looking to go spend $10,000. Hopefully $5000 will get me where I need to go.

The ESAB Rebel is DC Lift TIG only........and CANNOT do AC TIG....
it lacks all of the adjustability/versatility of the Sync 210
no Pedal...no AC Balance... no Frequency....no Pulse....no HF Start....
The two machines are NOT Comparable
The Sync 210 is a FULL FEATURED CC TIG/Stick machine with CV spoolgun support.... and the ability to update/upgrade the firmware programming...

Yup, syncrowave is the ticket.

$10k budget? And you're at a loss as to what machine? Cmon man! Go see your LWS and buy a syncrowave and have money left for beer. You'll be glad you did.

And H80N is right, that esab doofloppy is DC only.

And you can run your syncrowave off your bobcat when you need to be portable.

thanks for the input. Sounds like the 210 is the way to go but from what I have read it is only rated for up to 1/4 plate. Has anyone used one of these machines? Is that rating correct or will it weld bigger stuff? What is the next machine up from the 210 that does what it does?

None that I can think of in an all in one package. You other choice is a shopmaster which is a AC/DC stick Mig power source. But to that you will need to add a feeder like a 22A and a HF arc start box for the tig. Depending on which version of the shopmaster you can find will determine what controls are on it. This is a simple set up with no fancy controls. Have worked on older units set up this way and they weld very nice. No experience with the current production units.Glenn 300 amp stick

EDIT: FWIW.... the current model SHOPMATE 300X has NO AC capability at all.... is DC Only..

Your manual will give you the battery specs.... look here...
