So I basically have a counterfeit Miller...that's like telling me my 1909 Honus Wagner I found at a yard sale is a really a 1989 Bowman replica of the original T206 tobacco cards...dadnabbit. Story of my life.

Well by golly. I'll have to see what year mine is made when I get back home. It's still a good machine and I really like it. Miller branded fronius or not, I haven't had any problems with it and I hope it stays that way.

If I recall correctly... the very first Maxstars were built by Fronius in Austria.... But that was maybe 17-20 yrs ago... maybe yours is one of those..??

Yea..those were the fronius units We took a step back from that one. Call it a learning experience.......

All of our macines are made here in the good USA. A couple years ago we did have a partnership with Fronius that was desolved because of reliability issues and support. We feel we can make our products better here. The only units still made over the pond are welders for the European market. These welders are ONLY sold over there and anything for our US market is built here......

I haven't heard a single thing wrong with the Rebel.....yet. It's all been positive. But, I'd much rather keep the all blue theme in my shop. Something yellow would seriously stand out, and I'd never hear the end of it. Haha

All Miller Electric welding and Plasma cutting machines sold in North America and Mexico are designed and manufactured in Appleton, Wis., USA, though some components must be sourced from other countries, and we do have some factories overseas that only manufacture for their local markets.

I saw one in action a month ago. It was impressive even on 115v. They are on sale right now cheaper than the Multimatic 200...Bob

Definitely had to enter to possibly win one. May have to have a serious consideration about buying one to keep in the welding rig when they hit the market! Can't wait to see all the specs. Glad I never pulled the trigger on buying one of the ESAB Rebels.
