  • not putting out AC

I am new to this forum and I have a question and a problem. I have a old AEA200L miller welder generator Serial #K209205 and it is only putting out about 40 volts. No burnt smell and IO did try to excite it witha 12 volt battery but this did not help. Does someone have a manual for this welder or any idea of where I can start to look for the fix?
    Thanks for the help

Well if it puts out 40 volts, there is no reason to re excite it, perhaps check the RPM via frequency taken at the auxillary terminals, high idle no load.
