Only reason I traded was I like the dual voltage capability of it and it's like new. I ran it on both 110 and 220. Works great. I have the maxstar 210 and barely used the 150 anymore. Got the 80 cf 75/25 with it. The 150 STL left with the tig, stick and ground clamp only. I work in the automotive field and kinda thought this would be a good deal.

Thanks for the manual link...reading a little more about it now. Probably a pretty good trade wasn't it?

Came with a new in box spool gun and 3 rolls of wire. 2 Aluminum and 1 stainless. I think I'll sell the hobart ironman I have now. It's a 220v machine. I know the dvi isn't as powerful as the ironman 210 but my shopmaster is and then some.

I'm happy, we have a millermatic 135 at the shop and it's a little bulky, that's the reason I don't use it..I'll post a pic. It's so far from practical it's funny. It's on a custom welding cart built by our shop a couple years ago...takes 2 guys to move it for real.

Maybe a good subject for a new thread.

                Completely impractical welding rigs

I have zero experience with the machine you have there, but I really like my maxstar 150. I have the STH though. I would guess that your new machine fills a gap in your fleet?

Yeah..that hobart is only 220 and the shops millermatic is harder to move than my shopmaster...it's unreal awkward with its custom made cart/emergency response to anything design. I loved my stl 150 but I did buy it's bigger brother maxstar 210 just a few weeks ago. I will buy another 150 but I'll get the STH next time.

I like it having both voltage plugs like the maxstar. Be good for exhaust and other thinner stuff

Ya, it has good low end arc stability. The shop where we have our drag car we have a big Lincoln precision tig, which I really like on aluminum. But when it comes to stainless and the thinner stuff, I like that maxstar.

I love the 210 also...it has the digital amp read, hf start, pulse up to 250 pps I think. Does real nice on thin stuff and can adjust a little finer than the 150...just weighs double and a half

The dvi has a low duty cycle but I wanted it mostly for exhaust pipe work. Lots of converter replacements and general exhaust work... duty cycle will be fine for what I'll do with it.

I am curious about the spool gun that came with it. The machine has a place for the switch beside the wire feeder but no switch. I didn't find anything in the manual about the spool gun..it's a spoolmate 150. My shopmaster has a separate control box that plugs into its 110 port for the spool gun. I'll read more before connecting it. Looks like it'll plug right in
