Oh by the way i have been welding 43 years and have passed 21 weld certs (GMAW Aluminum & steel, SAW steel, SMAW steel, GTAW steel & aluminum & DC GTAW aluminum) (DOT, ASME, BCA-5962, MIL-STD-1595A, 2219/8611, 8604/2219, 248D & AWS D1.1, D1.2 & D1.3) and was W-06-01-003 REV C Visual Weld InspectIon trained'. The best one was DC GTAW on .500' 5052 aluminum (no preheating, 4043 filler rod, Sycrowave 250, 40CFH Helium).

So I guess your right about not seeking advice, but I am willing to learn anything new, as things do change and help if I can.

You might be surprised at the depth of experience on this board...

I have only been TIG welding since 1968...

But there are some Truly Experienced and Expert members here that manage to chime in and help others without being wise guys..... some much younger than us but display a mastery of the art that is amazing

Pretty much a level playing field here... Without anybody pretending to be the big dog....

With that in mind welcome aboard.....

Not really sure how you can say that's a dumb YouTube video. This guy went out of his way to help you with a question you had and your response is its a "dumb" YouTube video? Well, go ahead and ask another question then and see how much help you get.
