Current output issue with Syncrowave 250dx

Was welding last night, and noticed that I was not getting the expected penetration in 1/8" steel. I cranked up the knob, and again, the weld pool was very small. Maxed the knob out before it welded normally. To troubleshoot, and held the torch stationary, and watched the front panel. At max pedal, I got 115 amp @ 17V.

What could be in the issue here? Isn't the pedal just a variable potentiometer? Seems like if it failed, it would just be an open circuit, not changing the voltage output of the pedal...
Do I have ANOTHER bad main board?

Too many variables, is the front meter going up and down to where ever you have the local set to? Serial# maybe..

Machine is very error sensitive, leading me to believe its in your setup, perhaps in 4T when you want 2T. unit not timing out because of the latter. Just not sure. Possible a failed torch. Unknown material as well. Id guess that your running a 1/16 Tungsten on Stainless with those amps....Now you can crank your machine to the max, but due to the size of Tungsten, the amps likely wont increase much. Simply too much resistance to flow.

I know this is a miller site had a 250 synchro fizzle dx believe a 06 it was junk I know I am not alone in the problems local repair shops stalled tilt was long out of warranty , I was second owner thou, bought a presicion tig 275 way smoother it just feels better built, have a aerowave built in 2000 it's nice but I give the presicion tig the nod when it comes to needing control especially on dc aerowave is nicer on ac
