its a toss up, if opinions mattered, I like the Lincoln unit. Just for its simplicity in construction, user friendly, and better arc control.

Well it's not a 311T AC/DC industrial machine, but it'll do the job. Inexpensive yes, as it's basically 1 big board inside. the synch is transformer based, though still has a XMT platform. I don't like many of the Invertec Lincoln Tigs by the way. Especially the ones that have a serial number starting with a "I". Manufactures off shore for Lincoln have changed in the past couple of years though.

I would hang on to your Sync.... it is a solid reliable machine that will serve you well for many years to come..

and still have excellent resale value should you decide to sell it later

Many of the Lincoln Invertec TIGs were made in Italy... and were a hand grenade in a red box...

The new SW200's are made in Mexico.... and it is till too early to know what their reliability is going to look like...

I would wait a long while till others have done the beta testing... but remember... it is a low cost import.. regardless of the box color...

Bargain...?? something had to be shaved to meet that price point... you get what you pay for... there is no free lunch

just my 2cents worth... it is your dime....
