I am building an ornamental steel fence around my home for my wife. I build the panel to custom fit in the garage, and then - so far - have been able to use the Millermatic 252 with an industrial extension cord to weld them to the posts. However, I am shortly out of range of the extension cord and have half the fence still to go. So can I use my Bobcat 250NT as a generator to run a Millermatic 252 vs. stick welding or getting a suitcase wire feed. Alternatively, can I rent a suitcase wire feeder to finish the work? Sorry if its a naive question, but I am new to welding and took on a 470' fence project as a starter project. Thanks in advance!
