I saw your comment that the esab st-23 spoolgun was "adequate" for aluminum. That didn't sound like a ringing endorsement. Other than the weight, what are the pluses/minuses of this gun.
I am pretty sure ventureline used those words. [adequate]
I liked mine and it never gave me any trouble. It was just kind of awkward because of the weight, and I did not like the brake setup all that well. Just by reading the manual it looks like changing the brushes could take some skill without demagnetizing the whole thing. The esab ck style is ok but it sure does look flimsy.
