Question on the Bobcat 225 is it better to disconnect the lead or to leave them hook up after welding? We have the quik connects on it. This a new welder the other one we had was AC and where you can use just the generator on the 225 it seem that it would be better to have the leads unplugged.

I use my Bobus Catus 225G as a generator all the time without unplugging anything. I pay attention to the lead ends so as not to accidentally weld on the truck body, but other than that I don't do anything special. If you were worried, unplug the ground lead. Remove one element of the equation and you would be safe. Remember, it takes two to tango. It is a cliche, I know.....but it fits somewhat.
