Thanks to this forum and a really good local dealer I had a wonderful day today. I had been reading the forum looking for information about Miller welders, what they could do, and help me make a logical decision as to what I thought would serve my purposes. Next, enter the local dealer. He helped me by getting in touch with the Miller dealer rep for our area. The rep invited me to visit his training facility, which I did today. This facility is used to train Miller dealers, and has a lot of welders and plasma cutters set up for training and demo purposes. I got to play with all the nice toys !!! Not only did the rep demo the machines but answered all my quetions, no matter how silly they seemed sometimes. Because of the helpful approach by both the local dealer and the area rep, the choice was easy. After a fun day I purchased a MM210 and a Spectrum 625. I took a weeks vacation this week so I'll have lots of time to play in my shop ( girlfriend will probably like that, won't be under foot all the time ). Glad you had a good time! You went the extra mile to get some hands on with the machines you were looking at and it looks like it paid off for ya. Which training lab did you get to?
