Scott, Go on ebay and type miller welder and hit search, you will find alot of the ebay stores that sell Miller products have free shipping and no sells tax as long as you don't live in the state there located in.

I don't do much I-net ordering, but my friends have really good luck with BOB at BR welders. Cyberweld is good too. Stay with a reputable company. That seems high on a MAXSTAR 200DX, but maybe not.

Hawk, I myself deal with B & R Welder, good prices, products & service. But check out weldingsupply.com and let me know what you think about there prices on mig wire & tig rod. They carry Lincoln brand & also generic. I have also dealt with them.

www.weldingsupply.com has really good prices on tig rod, but check before you buy as some of the prices have almost doubled in the last week or so.

I not interested in the machine only the price, since most of them on-line are about $300.00 more. I get my stuff from my local Airgas because I don't mind my local guy making more the 2 or 3 percent on the machines. The sales tax is a non issue because we do not have one.

Their prices look pretty good except on the specialty rod such as 4145 @ $250/10lbs. The price is in line with Crown Alloys and some other specialty filler houses. However, I ordered the AlocTec 4145 right at 1/2 that price. AlcoTec actually manufactures their filler and for all I know may sell it to Crown and other resale houses.

i go to weldingsupply.com but they only deal miller in their home state which i think is wisconsin, or if there is any type of trade show or farm show that miller goes to they give a show deal. i got my millermatic 251 at the empire farm days for 1500 no tax because of the farm taxe exemption, i bought it from air gas.

I bought my dynasty 200dx from cyberweld, 2317 free delivery and no tax (except in jersey) 570 for the foot amptrol contractor kit. delivered 2 days after i ordered.

The only thing i didn't like is that they only sell filler in 3 lb minimum tubes.

Do any of the other online companies sell filler in 1 lb lots?

www.weldingsupply.com in IL sells 1 lb lots of common fillers. There is another place that does but they have $25 + Shipping minumum (sorry but a senior moment is keeping the name from me ). The local places here will sell 1 lb at a time but they only have -6 in steel and 308 in SS.
