    Harley,

That "30 amp" guy was me. Go back and look at that thread again. The brethren successfully pulled my head from the dark, smelly, warm place, and the correct answer got posted!

In response to my question I got an answer that the MM210 only went down to 30 amps, but the MM135 also goes down to 30 amps. Unless I'm really missing something isn't 30 amps still 30 amps ?

Scott, that Migmaster you gave me for my PowCon was supposed to use the .030 liner for .030 and the .035/.045 liner for .035, but I ran a bit of .035 through the .030 liner with nice results. I didn't run enough to say that one was better than the other and I might have had wear problems eventually if I hadn't changed..

Thanks for the reply George. I believe this was the one I had read before, knew there was something a little different --- the gun liner ! Think I'll give her a try.

I have welded 24 Ga with .024 Weldit wire using my MM210 by just using the standard .030 drive wheels and a .024 tip. Excellent arc and no problems with feeding. If I were going to do more of it I would most likely purchase a set of .024 drive wheels but would leave the same liner in the gun. I have a HH140 that I keep .024 wire in so don't need to use the MM210 for thin stuff, and besides the smaller gun of the HH140 is nicer to use IMO. Others have done the same testing and the reports were positive as I recall.
