  • Made a decision on the Tig.

Well, looks like I'm going to go with the Syncrowave 180sd. Talked with a local sales rep and explained everything I'm doing. He felt that for my use it would be the best value for my money. Didn't try to upsell me at all. Probably the best sales man I've ever had to deal with. Doesnt' hurt that I used to work with him! On top of that the company I used to work for is having a **** of a sale on them. Thanks again for everyones help. Looking forward to pestering you guys with questions when I start tigging!

I just sold a year old 180SD machine. You will like the ease of use and the ease of settings. I taught myself how to TIG on that machine (mild, alum, and SS). Great machine. I did a lot with mine. Go to my site and you will see an intake plenum that I made. People said I could not weld thick to thin, but I am stubborn and did it.
