  • Need help with power for Dynasty 200

    Hi Everybody! I just came home with my new dynasty 200DX. The owners manual is very vaque about connection to AC input, only shows how to hardwire. My question is about the input power cord. I already have a 50A 220V outlet in the garage for my MM 200. Can I buy a 50A input power cord from my local electrical supply house, and wire it directly to the dynasty without worrying about voiding the warranty because I opened the welder case to change cord? Thanks!

    Just get a 6-50p and wire it to the cord instead of changing the entire cord.

        Just be sure to wire it according to your manual.

          A friend of ours emailed me this when I was going through this exact same difficulty.

          GREEN = GROUND
          BLACK = HOT THIS IS THE SINGLE PHASE SET UP.
          WHITE = HOT

          TAPE THE RED UP AND DO NOT USE IT. IT IS THE ADDED 3RD HOT LEF FOR 3 PHASE.

          After you see this and look at the picture in the manual it will look familiar, trust me, been there done that{2 monthes back}!!!

            Yep..........pjseaman is right on. Got mine wired exactly like that on a 20amp 230v receptacle. Works fine.
