It looks like the 217290 so I'm sure its probaly the hobart version. They dont specify the number of sensors but its probably the same as the miller. The price is only $50.00 but I dont want to take chances with my eyes at any cost. They are the only thing I have that still works.I am just a hobby type welder.
    Thanks for the advice.

I just talked with our helmet specialist and he thinks the 770413 is a hobart version of our 217290 helmet. I haven't tried it. Kind of depends on what you are using it for. For TIG welding I would still go for the 4 sensor elite. The tig arc is so small that it's easy to block it with a hand, torch filler metal etc... that the 4 sensors are a big help in not getting flashed.

    hope this helps

    miller helmet #770413

I'm looking at an autodark helmet that is supposed to be a new miller model #770413.I looked on the miller web site and can't find this model. It looks like the XLi series but the specs dont mach. For example the XLi has a speed of 1/16,000 and the one i'm looking at is 1/20,000.The lens shade is 3.5 light to 9-13 dark.It has a self charging 3-volt lithium battery.I want something for tig welding and would like to now if this would be a good helmet.I cant confirm the info becous I can't find this part # on millers web site.Any information on it would be greatly apriciated.
