Need some help from the pros,

I just sold my Miller cp-200 3 phase mig today, with the millermatic on top, with purge, pulse, and a bunch of other buttons and switches i dont use, it had a tweco 15ft. swivel head torch, nices mig i have ever run, But dont do alot of mig, when I sold my building i sold 4 singlr phase machines, they ran terrible, The fellow that tought me electricty(not spelling ) told me why the 3 phase ran better, but that was 15 years ago,,when a thermal fax cost $700.00,in the good old days use to buy a pallet of lincoln 7024 at a clip, I make alot of 1/4 plating tanks,with a full corner weld, soooooo i need to my a 175 mig, use for tacking and expanded metal, tryied 3 of the name brands, was wondering what the pros think, with the new technology, Thanks in Advance, Jack

Didn't even see your post. This site is not the only thing I do with MILLER. I'm on the road quite a lot and must have missed the day you posted this.
This site is for all to answer and not just my responsibility. If you are still in need of help and can cool your jets long enough to get it, I'd love to have the chance.

As far as the new technology, the inverters like the MM350 can run single or three phase and have outstanding arcs and also are not nearly as big as your previous set up. Although they are a little on the pricey side, they do not take as much power to run them so in the lang haul, they would pay off.

Even IF it was Andy's sole job to monitor the message board and respond, do you think he would do it 24hrs a day? Plus, if you tried the search function you would have likely found a ton of answers. Or, if you are in THAT big of a hurry, call a dealer or Miller on the phone.

Plus, you seemed to get help from the Hobart board (also sponsored by ITW [owner of Hobart and Miller]). Dan responded quite well to your questions over there and you should understand that most of the people on this board are also on that one. If people see you are getting help on one they probably aren't going to repeat the same answer on both.

Just out of curiosity, did you get any info on the Lincoln board yet? Oh, that's right.........

FYI. Not hurting in this economy...Not sure where you get your info but this year was a barn burner!! I don't think there was 3 months all year that we were not working overtime.

Ansy, the reason why i typed to you was it showed you were on line, and DUDE went out a long time ag, as i recall, Im just hit 50,My Jets are fine, i put the same question on the HOBART Site and whitin a half hour go alot of great responces, So DUDE Just picked up my new lincoln,and played with it for a hour and the guys on the HOBART SITE were rite, But as i said I tried all 3 out yesterday,So "DUDE" YOU CAN GO BACK TO YOUR NAP, AND HOPEFULLY MY STOCK WILL BE SOLD BY NOON, WITH A PRINT OUT OF OUR REPLYS, OH, THATS RITE , I NEVER GOT ONE,,,JACK

Hey man my sincerest apology for not grabbing your thread. I try to watch the forum pretty close. I do not work for Miller, but have tons of experience with multi-process welding and a good knowledge of Miller equipment. I stay on here because I like and as a help to Andy and others.

As Andy and the other guys have already mentioned give us a chance. Occassionally we miss something. All of us have full time jobs as welders, business owners or other careers, and welding as a hobby. The bottom line is we can't be everywhere at once.

Good luck with whatever you choose to do. Even if you go Lincoln and want to post we welcome you. There is a lot of Miller equipment on the forum and there is also Lincoln and Thermal Arc. There's a great thing: A bunch of good folks with multi-brand experience.

Lincoln does not have a board,Dan a Great Guy, was Looking for all opinions, and i checked who was on Line, and saw DUDE Andy on the line, Hobart was great, just responded to Andy, and got a call from my broker,(whew) Im out of miller in my portfolio,,and just played with my brand new lincoln, and love it, so, why "DUDE" does it show that the boss man Andy is on line when he is not? I was also looking for a answer from Pile Buck, because he seems to me one of the smartest people i have EVER met, espically with the any welding project, S Berry, is also a very SMART MAN I was looking for as many people to reply,as i could, so "DUDE" I think ive answered all questions,,ant more questions, just reply"DUDE",Jack, PS if you know anything about the welding buisness , Everbody needs it YESTERDAY!!! so have a Nice day "DuDe
