I plan on buying a Beverly Shear witch come in 3 sizes.B-1,B-2 and B-3 and cut 14 guage,10 guage and 3/16" acordingly.I want to buy the B-2 and would like to hear from anyone with experiance on these machines as to weather or not it will make radius cuts as well,or as sharp as the B-1.The blade length is only 1/8" longer on the B-2 and I like the extra cutting capacity. Most of my cutting will be under 1/16".

I have the B1 size that I use mostly for thin sheet gauge for interiors of our race cars and for crush panels. I've used it occasionally for 1/16 and It works fine. Most of the race teams around here use the B2.

How big of a piece of metal can you cut with those shears, for example, if i need to cut a 24" piece of sheet in 1/2, can you only cut as big as the blade, or can you make a cut, move the piece forward, and continue your cut?

its throatless so as long as you can move the piece you can cut it........

I was able to dig up this information. The B1 has a 3/16"thick top blade and 1/4" thick bottom blade. The B2 has a 5/16" thick top blade and 5/16" thick bottom blade. This supposedly gives the B1 about 1" tighter radius than B2.Rufly 6" vs 7" depending on operator skill.
