  • Old Miller Welder

I have an old miller stick welder that I was wondering how old it was. I posted a couple of pics and I also have the serial number. It is L240144. I just thought I would see if anyone knew anything about it.

Morning, I had the twin, and it came with the co. I bought 27 years ago,and it was old then, ran 1/8 jet, great, When i sold my commercial building, I sold alot of some of the older equip, I could not get 50 bucks for it, ending up cutting it apart, and scrapping the copper, made about 125 bucks in scrap, Jack

        osumecheng,

Tooldude is correct your machine was built in the second half of 1962. The M-180 is very similar to the current Miller Thunderbolt, just a basic stick welder.

After looking at the pictures of this welder I realized that I bought an Airco about 5 years ago from a thrift shop for $50 that is a dead ringer except that it was yellow. Don't know if it was built by Miller for Airco or by Airco for Miller.
I gave it to my brother about a year and a half ago and he is still using it.

Boilt by Miller for Airco. Miller made a lot of equipment for Airco in their time.
