  • Anyone have any toast???

    Well,
Here I am with egg all over my face... I'm sure you remember that I bought a new MM251 and I wasn't all that impressed with it. I went on and on how I thought my MM210 ran a better bead. (The MM210 does run a sweet bead)! Well I had some trouble last week with the 251, the wire was slipping a bit. When I checked the tension on the drive wheels I noticed that there was a little dust on them and the end of the liner. After looking the thing over pretty good I realized that my wire had a little rust on it. It was all over the wire but it was hard to see. I was shocked that I had not noticed it before. The wire was just a little dull. I brought the wire back to my dealer and he gave me a new shiny roll. I put the new roll on but I didn't have time to run the welder. Anyway I needed to weld some 1/2 plate tonight and I grabbed the MM251, I was shocked at how well the thing welded. It was great! I was so wrong about the MM251 it really is a nice machine. SO here I am with this egg on my face.... Oh what the ****, I like eggs....

        Bulldog,
You're a big man to repost that. Most would just let it go and quietly smirk under their helmet

I've got a MM251, and it does everything that I ask it to do quite well.

Oh really it’s a small world, we have bounced off each other on the dieselstop a few times, fielding welding questions there. LMAO

On the dieselstop I’m in touch with my feminine side, I go by Chyrel there, I have the F-550 with the 14-foot flatbed dump. Seems like we were helping someone with a Tig question, and a longer thread about certifying in 6-G open root pipe, if I remember correctly.
