Cyberweld shipping?

Hello,

I've decided to buy a MM210 from cyberweld. Ive done alot of reading here and on the Hobart board, and they seem to have a good reputation. My question is how do they ship? I need to know if it comes in an unmarked crate, vs a box with MILLER all over it. My house isnt in a great area, and I dont want anybody to get the idea Ive got some $$$ stuff in my garage. Id call them, but they're closed.

Aside: I really wanted to buy local but theres only two welding supplys in my area. The first one said "mfg List plus tax, take it or leave it". The second will match internet pricing, then add tax and a BIG additude. They told me flat out that if they come down on the price at all, ANY tech support will be billed at $75 an hour. I went in there ready to buy, and willing to pay $100-$200 more than online, and left pissed off and without a welder. Oh well.

I ordered a Syn 180 from Cyberweld right before New Years and they shiped it in a Miller box. They did not charge any shipping and also asked me if I needed a lift gate on the truck but yes is comes in a Miller box

mine came in the Miller box. it did say Miller on it.

maybe you can have them hold it at the depot, then just go get it. how about having it shipped to your work ?

Although I did not get my 210 from Cyberweld, the Miller logo was very prominent on the box.

I have heard much good about Cyberweld.I have talked to a few people that have dealt with them and been very happy.As for the plain box,it's not going to happen.I have recieved several new miller welders and they have always ben in a brown or white box with Miller all over it.I believe that Cyber weld and most internet companys like them, have the welders drop shipped direct from miller.I noticed that Cyberwelds price is $1,249.00 and that seems to be about the norm for a MM210 welder,plus You most likely will not have to pay tax,if the distributor is in another state.Although I have never ordered a welder from Cyberweld,though I have had a lot of experience with receiving truck freight and I have found that often the machine will need to be delivered to a comercial address.If You read the fine print,most free shipping offers do not include a lift gate service and many will not even include delivery to a residential area.Although I have had the rare occasion where the trucking company would let me get a bunch of freinds together and transfer the machine to a pickup in a local parking lot.Another situation that has happened to me is,That I would have to pick the machine up at the trucking companys terminal,since they would not atempt to bring their semi truck into my residential neiborhood.I now have a freind with a commercial building and a fork lift,so problem solved.The truck can drop the machine off at it's convenience and I can pick it up at my convenience.I am quite sure that Cyber weld will be able to answer all of your shipping questions.Good luck with the new welder,You are going to love the MM210.I have welded with a few of these and was quite impressed with the arc quality in such a reasonable priced machine.

If you would post your location there may be someone close to you that may be able to help find a GOOD dealer near you so you wouldn't have to go to the net to buy a welder. I know that my dealer always beats the on line pricing and will go the extra mile to make sure I have everything that I need and always throws in a bunch of free stuff to boot.

I ordered a Millermatic 251 and a synchrowave 180 from cyberweld about a year and a half ago. I work out of town doing road construction and I gave them the address of the office trailer and they had the truck driver call when he was close so I could unload it. The office trailer was about 5 miles from any town on an old blacktop road and when he got there he stopped on the side of the road and we unloaded the welders into the back of my truck. I would call cyberweld and discuss shipping options. I was very impressed with the service I recieved and would not hesitate to buy from them again.

Nearest dealer other than the two Ive mentioned are 100mi away. But I just talked to someone who got the other place to match internet pricing, so maybe I was just talking to the wrong person.

That would work out good for me, if the truck driver can get it in the back of my truck, I can deal with it from there. THanks for the heads up...

No problem. I was having problems with the dealers where I live quoting me list price and I thought since I was buying two welders at the same time that they could atleast try to do better than that.
