Like you, I see so many dudes that do that exact thing. Double the price and hope nobody notices or super-inflate the price of a worn out piece of junk. Kinda disgusting at times. The worse thing is some sucker will come around and buy it. Reminds me of the guy who was selling a Miller Blue Star 2E last year. He wanted $1500 to start. I don't think they even cost that much when they were still making them......twenty five years ago. What was he thinking??

Possibly sentimental value??? His wife may have told him to sell it. At least he can say he tried. Sounds like he does'nt want to sell it and if he does, he makes a few bucks...

Hey Scott..... I am a bit confused about your reply. DVI?
The Millermatic 300 is actually a 300amp machine at 60%. and240 amps at 100% (the DVI is 150 at 40%)
The biggest downfall with the 300 is that it needs 3 phase power to run it. As for the price, in Canada our LIST price on this machine is $3859.00 (this would equate to approximately $3250.00 U.S. with the current exchange rate.) The $1900 asking price (approx. 2300.00 CDN.) is below our cost of a new machine.

I might be missing something here, and If so, please let me know what it is.
all in all, I think that if you have 3phase power and need an industrial quality mig for the shop, then this isn't a bad deal.

What he is refering to is the guy is advertising it as a MillerMtic 300 DVI.
When in reality all it really is is just a DVI,
Read the specs,This dude doesnt know what he is talking about(the seller)

Did the guy change the wording in the auction? It seemed that he started out with "DVI" in there somewhere and I thought it mentioned 110V and 220V in the advertisement when it was first posted. Maybe he realized that he had mistakes and corrected them.

I contacted this ebay seller and found out that this welder actauly is a MM300 3 phase machine. This machine has the spoolgun module,4 roll feeder, digital meters and gun on demand, along with many other great features. On the downside,it is a sraight 3 phase machine, unlike the new MM350/350P machine that uses inverter technology for 1/3 phase operation. This seller was very quick to reply to my email and very quickly corrected the listing. The average prices that I have seen on the MM350 are aproaching the $3,000.00 area,so the asking price of $1,900.00 for this new and slightly scuffed machine sounds pretty good to me.I found all the specs. and info. on this welder in my 2002 miller catalog and it sounds quite impressive to me.I did find a couple of these for sale on the web and they were in the $2,500.00 to $2,700.00 price range for a new in the box machine.

                              thought i was losing it...

well, I didn't get to see the first listing, so that is why I was confused....thought that I read his listing right.
at least I am not losing it altogether.
