  • US businesses and foreign competition

Thought some of you might like to read some of the interesting comments made by finishing business owners and engineers about the loss of business to foreign competitors.

interesting. but something we already now. MOST americans don't care where something is made, they say they do. but when the wallet comes out, well.

fact is. the world economy is in a balancing act. money/jobs are flowing from the plentifull/expensive, to the less plentifull/expensive. and its not going to stop. not until it starts to effect the politicians. only then will something be done about it. but by then it will be too late.

we will be getting paid a little more than the same worker in another country. but our cost of living will be 10x as much, as it is now.

this country came up fast. and it will go down fast, and its on its way.

Great link, long, but very interesting.I think we should make it law that no one who makes less money than the lowest paid congressman or senator should pay taxes. The employee should not make more thn the employer.By doing this, politicians would have more incentive to take care of the general public and small buisness who pay the majority of tax.Voteing themselves pay raises would be shooting themselves in the foot unless they actually did there job and increased the quality of life for the tax paying community.Pay raise without economic improvement would mean fewer tax payers to pay for there raise.Self regulating if you will. The tax exempt fortune 500 mentioned in the forum would have to start paying there share to offset the loss of revenue by those with lower incomes than the politicians.
      Just a funny thought.
To all who contribute to this board.
      My sincere thanks , Pete.
