Fabricating chassis parts

I'm curious. Since I'm assuming a lower control arm would be built using a jig set-up, what is the procedure used to ensure that the part does not warp and change the effective pick-up points of the part? Are these arms normalized? Rev.

Rev, I was going to built A arms for my Fairlane project. You need a good jig to weld them in also leave them there until cool, they should stay pretty good. I don't know what steel you are using as far as postheating normalizing goes...Bob

any important load bearing(is the spring on the lower or upper arm?) should be stress relieved and magnafluxed to ensure a long safe failure free life. We usually post machine any thing we can to ensure absolute tolerancing. depending on how close you plan on needing to be to your original number, you could build a jig like aa said.
