Guest repliedThe cup with holes in it is called the swirl ring, I am not the engineer but the plasma arc requires little jets of air to help create the ionazation with electrictyIt swirls the air before the juice is applied and presto plasma acc.. I wish it was that easy
Lets jus t stick that it swirls the air to help with ionazation.(and cooling of torch head)

Guest repliedHave him check his o ring in the tip assembly , this is probably damaged or worn. The only air exit is at the end of the tip when unit is operating..

A friend of mine has a Spectrum 375 and when it is being used air comes out from around the bottom of the cup.
Is it supposed to be doing this?Tags: None
