This site is very unusual in that there is only one category for discussions. I know it's promoted as a motorsports site, but it also seems to be a big place for people to discuss Miller (and other) welders in general. The site seems to be doing well, but Andy and others may want to consider if it might be time a new category or two, to group the motorsports questions together in one place and others in a separate place.

Personally, I got into welding for the purpose of working on my Mustang. I've welded in my own subframe connectors (through the floor), panhard bar, and torque arm. I'm building my own 347 stroker at the moment, as well. Although I can't commit as much time to it as I'd like, I find it very interesting and enjoyable.

Actually this IS a Motorsports Message board,
It kind of morphed (As Andy has put it) into a welding Message board.

Jeff is right the diversity here is unbelivable, count me in. If it makes noise and goes fast like it.

One of the great things about this board is the wide spectrum of knowledge held by the people who contribute to it. If you dont get a specific answer you will be given several other resources to consult for more information. Given the title of this forum; I look forward to learning from your questions as I have from all before you. Good Luck, JEFF

I'm always interested in anything involving racecar fabrication. My wife claims it's an addiction, I prefer to think of it as focused.

Not sure you'll get all your questions answered here, but it looks like a few of the folks here are involved in motorsports.

I do all the engineering and maintenance on my racecar so I'd welcome the chitchat.

    Chris,
Bring it on. I build NASCAR type race cars and late models and there are others here on the forum that do chassis work also so hopefully we can get you covered.

    Chris,

My experience has been that this board's membership is extremely giving, and very civil. Ask your questions. My bet is you'll be answered in kind.

    Motorsports questions?

I have asked several welding questions over the past few months and have received some great replies. With my home renovation almost complete, I plan to get back on the race track this year. This brings me to having a lot of work to do on the racecar, some of it is rollcage welding and then there are non-welding issues such as electrical, suspension, engine, etc.. Would an electrical or suspension question be welcomed here if it didn't have anything to do with welding or is the forum for focusing on motorsports questions dealing with welding?

    Thanks
Working...
