  • Got my weld cart finished for MM185 and Dynasty 300DX.....

Finally got my cart finished that I started awhile back, I like how it turned out. Looks like it would be top heavy but it isn't. It carries it's weight really well.

    Gary,
Great set-up but why when the MM185 comes with a factory running gear would you take it off and join the two?? It just looks labor intensive if you want to take the mig off and do a job away from the garage.

Right after I bought the 185 I bought a Lincoln square wave tig and it didn't have a cart with it, about 5 1/2 years ago. I built a cart for the Lincoln tig and mm185 so my stuff wouldn't be taking up space with two different carts. When I bought the Dynasty last month it also came with a cart but everything wouldn't fit into the old cart so I gave it to the guy that bought my Lincoln tig and went ahead and built this new cart. Yes it was time consuming but I made some changes to this cart that I like better than the old one. Hope that kinda answers your question, if I had a bigger shop I would probably have them seperated but I only have a 20X24 shop and space is very important. I made it so that the mm185 can come out of the cart fairly easy. It was only out of the old cart 2 times in the past 5 1/2 years that I have owned it.

Thanks for pointing that out. Guess that's what instuction books are for huh. We're men, we don't need no stinking instructions.

Nice work. What did you use for your rod tubes? Looks like you have caps for them too.

                Thanks

The cart looks fine. I can tell you spent quality time designing exactly what works for you and your environment. Now you have room for another machine!

The last cart I had was very similar to this one and after using it for 5 1/2 years there was some things I wanted different and I made those changes when I built this cart. It's probably good that I don't have alot more room or I would probably have a few more pieces of equipment.
