    don`t know if this has been asked many times but.....i have a miller vantage machine.machine is set up for 035 wire,would like to use on 20 gauge steel bought 024 wire and tips.and help in the set up would be apprecated.using argon/co2. Bill

    Welcome Bill!

    It would run best if you had the proper size liner for the gun and .023 drive rolls and tips.
    Run the machine on low voltage range tap and low wire speed.

      thanks for the quick reply my dear said not to change the liner,just the tips.is this a must or something that is recommanded/ thanks again

        If this is something you are only going to use once, then maybe not. What happens is that with the big liner, the small wire will snake in the bigger liner causing feeding irregualities. If you are planning on using your .023 more often, then yes. You will have less headaches. Also, make sure you get the right drive rolls or the small wire will slip for sure.
