  • A ? about MIG guns.

The only guns that I have used enough to develop a feel for are the MillerM-15, M-25 and the 400 amp roughnecks. I have also used some older Twecos and the smallest lincoln. I like the roughnecks the best and was planning on ordering a few soon.

Since ITW owns Bernard, Oxo, and Tregakiss who makes the M guns and the roughnecks?

Why do you guys prefer the Binzels and the Bernards over the others?

Mostly for me its comfort and weight, if I had to replace my m25 it would either be a roughneck or a bernard. I personally like the m25, but it isn't a swivel head. It's like ford vs. chevy- big block vs. small block or whayever.

Tregaskiss makes them with Miller front end consumables.

I don't think ITW owns Tregaskis. I like oxo guns but the little tab that is on the handle, bothers the crap out of me. The M-40 might be the sleeper. I like it the best out of that line. Or at least the esab version of it.

Has anyone used one of these guns for small Al jobs? It looks really interesting.

I realy like my M15 gun. When i bought my Miller 185 5 years ago i was going to put a small Tweco gun on it. Then i got to using it and it grew on me. I have tried to buy a couple spares of ebay but no luck. So if anybody want to sell a M15 take off drop me an email...Bob [email protected]

Sure fun i have, but i want one for about a 100 bucks. <G> Thought maybe if someone was to remove one and upgrade to another brand it would be better than sitting on a shelf. Thanks...Bob
