  • Like new syn 180 forsale

I recently purchased a syn 350 and my 180sd tig runner which has less than 20 hours of use is going on the auction block. This machine is like new as I hardly ever used it, runner, foot pedal, work clamp, stinger, diamondback tig torch, regulator all like new. What is a fair price to ask for this machine in great condition and 1.5 years old?

Doesn't anybody have some input as to what I should ask for my sny 180? I really do not know what a fair market price is.

      This may or maynot help,
A guy at work bought a syn 180 with accessories for $1000. I have
not seen the machine yet, so I don't now what kinda shape its in?
He said it was about 2 years old.
      Good Luck and Happy Holidays

I have found that when I am selling something and am unsure what to ask for it, I have to ask myself what would I pay for it if I needed one? Or depending on the condition it should be worth 60 to80% of what a new one would sell for. Hope this helps.

          e-bay will get you 1 for $1500.00 + or - a few $$
it would be best to try to sell it localy in youre paper to avoid shipping.
i would start it at $900.00 OBO.and be flexible, all the exceserys come with the syncros so having them realy is just part of the welder.
it would be great to get it to a high school kid looking to get set up at home after a shop class but i dont know if you can addvertize at school.

you might concider keeping it as it realy depreceats prity quick and might be nice to have a 2nd unit around you never know you might need to hire on some help and you will be setup already.
          thanks for the help

I talked to my local guy who I have bought 4 welders from and the most he says he can give me is $700.00. I was hoping to get $1000.00 because it is barely used. If I cannot get that I will probably take it home and have it their for home projects. I guess I will talk to him again this week and see what his bottom line is and maybe we can meet in the middle $850.00. What is the best price any of you have been able to get on a Dyn 200 or Dyn 300?

My local dealer beat brwelder's (ebay) price by $100 on my 300 Tigrunner. I just printed the page, took it to him and said beat that and we have a deal. I would have bought from him anyway just for the peace of mind knowing that if I had a problem he would take care of me. Plus I like to buy locally if I can. I figure if he could do it, most any dealer can.

I agree to support local dealer networks especially when and if warranty issues arise. I think I will see what he will give me or sell on consignment towards a dyn 200 or 300. Fun4now, what are your thickness requirements will a dyn 200 be adequate. I have the syn 350 for the 1/2"- 1.0" stuff but I really want to try a dyn 300 on the 1/2" as HAWK and everybody says it works fantastic.

i dont have any real requirments as i dont have a job.
i'm looking to find somthing i can do from home with what ever time i can get in my shop. i'm thinking i will build a harly from scratch and try to sell it. i havent built 1 in about 20 years . i'm hoping to make some custum skins ( gas and oil tanks, fenders) to sell to finance the build. if i can manage to sell 1 a year at a $15,000.00 profit it will be more than i make on disability and i can start to suport myself insted of you doing it. right now i am just trying to find somthing i can do within my limitations. i'm not making much off of my POW*MIA stuff but it keeps me from rotting in my mind.

if HAWK said somthing about a dynasty you should believe it he make a living with them, and all my info on TIGing comes from him and books i just repeat it to help others. i have never TIG'ed befor but am looking forward to the options it will give me.
                          thanks for the help

                            Fun4now,
Thanks for getting back with me so soon. It sounds great man I hope you bet that dyn 200 ASAP as your enthusiasm is quite apparent in your posts. Some of the frame requirements might be a bit much for the dyn 200, but you can always buy a frame. My friend is building a custom chopper, his first one, it is a real learning experience for him. Let me know how the custom skins go. Take care and keep supporting this great forum.

right now i'm working on making an english wheel and planishing hammer.

some spots will be pushing it but with proper prep and multy passing i will be ok, besides i will most likely buy a frame and cut it up to alter to suit my needs. easyer when it come time to title it that way also.
                              thanks for the help
