I have a MILLER Econo Twin a/c d/c tig welder. Serial # HH 030883. I have owned this thing for years. Acouple of years ago I tried to use the tig. I had to scratch start it which I have never done before. It seemed to do o.k. on steel but I couldn't get it to go on al. I figure the high freq. is probably messed up. People have to me that there are some points inside that may just need to be adjusted or maybe just cleaned. I never did anything about it and just used the machine to stick weld with which it does very well.
Fast forward a couple of years to today. I have been concidering a new tig machine. I have been out of the country for awhile and studing this site. Now that I am home for a christmas break, I have been able to get out to the garage and look at my machine. I notice now that it has a receptical for high freq. control. Does this mean I can hook up a foot petal to it? I f I can then I will concider having the machine looked at to see what it will take to get it welding again. I know I will need all new hoses, reg., and torch and of cource a new foot control if it will work with this machine. I would love to get this machine working. I know it is not a very heavy duty machine but I am only looking to weld thiner material and motorcycle frame tubing. If I can get this working, then the money saved on a new tig rig can be thrown at at new mm 210 and posibly a new plasma cutter. Right now a tig rig is #1 priority. Also is there an owners manual still avalible for this machine. I've seen you guys work miricals for other people needing info. Please please work one for me. Thank you and have a great holiday.
