  • NI 99 TIG Rod

Anyone have 4 or 5 rods of 3/32 99% Nickle TIG rod they can part with? My dealer can only get 10 pounds at a time he says. This is way more than I need and way too much money. At first he thought he could just order a pound and it would be around 20 bucks apparently it's only available in 10 pounds. I only need a few rods and dont want to spend that kind of money, I would be glad to spend a few buckd for the rod and shipping. Please let me know....Thanks, Joe

    Joe,
I have some UTP econocast 99 3/32 rods I could send you.

One problem is I am going out of town till after Christmas.
I might be able to mail them tomorrow if I had your address or maybe down where I am going? I not real sure if I will have time to get to someplace to mail them by tomorrow? I could give it a shot though.

Sorry I just re-read your post and you said tig rod. I only have stick rod.
Could you clean the coating of of a stick rod and make it work? You dealer should have those. I heard of that done before.

How about beating the coating off the stick rods? tried it once, seemed to work but all I did was a few tacks.
