tailgate latch help ? any ideals ??

My right mind has been gone for a long time, my hobby has a garage with 2 blue boxes worth way more than my truck.

LOL i know how it is, i started with a 12'X12' shed with no power
i have sence added a 12'X8' out the back and another 12'X8' out one side along with 2- 240V service panel's and i got all kinds of stuff cramed into there, only got room to work on 1 thing at a time and it usualy ends up spred out through the hole shop LOL

if you could some time. find a piece of scrap, then just cut a straight line down the center, 3-4" would be fine. just would like to see how fine a cut it makes. thanx, no hurry.

here is the cut i made for you. it will make a finer cut, my consumeables aer about due for replacement. i'll try to remember to get you a pic when i change them. i'm looking to cut a tank shape to play with my planishing hammer setup some time soon. i'll get ya a pic then. also the standoff distance makes a big differance. anhow here are a few cut shots.

i feel that anything that gets people to take a minuit and think of thouse that gave there all for them is a good thing, even if the next thought might be " too bad thouse girlies are on there ".

at any rate here is a version of the gate i'm shoure you will like

i used 1 of thouse magnet ribbins so you could put witchever ribbin you like best on it or just leave it as is.

Ummmm. Afraid of the response but......

I have to agree that the girlies may give a bad impression of what you are trying to achieve.

You have to remember that if people purchase this, 1/2 of the people who see it will be women.

The work that you do is so nice. How about offering one tail gate with just the girlies and one with just the POW.

Just a thought. In the end, I hope that you can make some bucks off of this work.

(I hope that you are not having a cruddy day right now...)

did you look at the pic in the post above you. (yellow ribbin)
it has no girlies. just for thouse of you that dont like them or feel they take away.

thanx for the cuts/pics. if you wanted to cut a hole, say 1" round, would you have to drill a starter hole ? or just burn though ?

a starter hole is a bit easier. with sheet you can just blow through without much metal spitting up out of gouge.

i just burn through. its fast and easy. and any slag that may shoot out over the top is minamal and will chip right off. i'll go blow a hole for ya. and post a pic.

great fun and funtion

it burns a hile a lil smaler than 1/8" to drill it would take way more time and then you would have to line up your torch with the hole to start anyway. so i just point and shoot. easyer and more practical. oh and more fun too
it realy is a great lil machine, all it needs is a 110V outlet and you are ready to go with it's internal air pump there realy is not much more to it than just point and shoot.
as you can see from the pic. it just burns right through befor you know it. this is 16 gage steel. as you can see there is verry lil slag.

the only complaint i have with it is the price of the consumables. they are more for the spec 125 than they are for the spec 375.????

all in all i love this lil blue box
