I posted this once before sometime ago in another thread. Here is my little Ingersol in disguise as a MAC. It is shown with a green bristle disc I use for steel and some new red Roloc discs which are my favorite for aluminum. They clean well without a lot of scratching even on the thin and narrow aluminum strips.

Muchas Gracis!
I've got a couple of air-drive die grinders- think one of each IR and Chicago Pneumothorax!
Ram welding supply's catalog has a bunch of that stuff, and I'm trying to get set up to work aluminum on the NEW, 100% DEDICATED aluminum welding work station.

Hank:
I use the Ingersol Rand angle die grinder just like the one HAWK uses. I have also used them in my router for deburring repetitive jobs, too much demand on my small compressor. They make an electric diegrinder that isn't to expensive also. The CP model JoeBass showed is a good one but as with any rotary pnuematic tool remember to oil it regularly.
Peace,

joebass,
Good choice. I use a similar angle die grinder made by Ingersol Rand. IR and CP both make good air tools. I use the red discs for most aluminum. Anything coarser (brown disc) is just too destructive for most applications.

I'm not sure about model numbers but I use my roloc sanding and Scotchbrite discs on an air angle die grinder: http://www.thetoolwarehouse.net/shop/CP-875.html
I also use one of these on my Metabos:
I also use the surface conditioning belts on belt sanders for blending B2 finish stainless this works great.

Terence,
I apologize for swiping your thread, but I gotta ask pjs a question!
Hey, Paul,
I'm tooling up for aluminum. What do you run your ROLOC disks on? I've been lloking at them, and they look pretty neat.

Terence:
I like the roloc scotch brite discs. I use the 2" maroon {medium}048011-05527-5. I have used the green roloc bristle discs 048011-18732-7 but I have trouble over using them and digging in. 3M also makes a unitized deburring wheel for a benchgrinder 048011-13171-9. The unitized wheel is a bit expensive but lasts a long time if used only on Aluminum.
I have bought the rolocs on ebay for about half the local suppliers price, I think it was $.39 each but this is on a quantity of 250, forgive me if the price is off but its been a year since I bought any.
BTW don't use coarse on aluminum unless its really oxidized.
I have the 3M abrasives book so if you need a different part number say what you need.
Peace,

3m pads
I think I asked this before but at the risk of sounding stupid does any body know the model # for the 3m pads that I would use to hit the annodized coating on annodized aluminum. Does it come in differnt sizes for different applications,IE.. side wheel grinder, straight grinder ect.\
Thanks
