Thanks for that link Mike, armed with that information I might go out and develop a circuit board where I can just input the thickness and all other parameters would be taken into account, or maybe I should just cut my losses and buy a pulsed MIG? He he

Although they specifically mention aluminium there, what they are talking about is applicable to all GMAW welding. Who said GMAW was easier to learn?!
