Dyn88,
i'm not sure what you mean? Do you mean is the helium atom bigger? how is it over there on the eastern part of CT?

Gary,
I was saying the fill of a large bottle (300 cuft size) only runs about 65 bucks depending on where you go, i have one customer who goes through 5 a week and he gets a price of around 44 bucks or so. As for the sale of the tanks we don't sell anything larger then an 80 cuft size cyl. I think it might be a CT thing but all of other gas/welding suppliers out here don't sell them either.

now are you staying the bottle $65 or the fill? The bottle was $190 but with the trade in of the S bottle i only payed $38.

GaryM,
that bottle should only cost you around 65 bucks or so, maybe even cheaper depending on where you are. And i have to agree with dyn88, s/s likes lower amps, and that he/ar mix might be a little to hot, depending on the thickness of s/s your welding.

be carfull. Stainless likes a lower temp and the helium makes for a hotter arc. If you are used to a fast travel speed then He may be good for you.

I got a bottle of 50/50 argon/helium and LOVE IT!!!! It drops the weld amps and the puddle flows out so much nicer.
The cost of it was not so nice. What they call a T bottle think its the largest one before the big stainless steel tanks. The fill was $101
Anyway can wait to try some stainless. Was only doing aluminum
