  • Bike frames

I am currently in a small buissness building aluminum tops for boats.
    My question is...
I use schd. 40 annodized aluminum pie on all my work, is this the same pipe that they use for bike frames? I know I can have the frame powder coated or even re-dippid to annodize the welds but is the schd. 40 pie structurally sound enough to hold up to the riggors of motorcycles? it should because it holds up to the riggors of a boat bouncing in the sea all the time ....I guess i just answered my own questiuon i think.
    Thanks for any in put

i would have a ummmm what's that guy no 1 likes oh ya an enginear check it out . you probly got 1 at your work that could tell you, or they use 1 you could ask how to contact.
to compair a boat top to a motercycle is like apples and oranges. although the boat top receves stress it is not the same type of stress and as such may need different tolerances.
good luck and let us know what you come up with.
    thanks for the help
    ......or..........
    hope i helped
